Diva Motherhood Music Video

Writer, Director and Producer This funk-rock original score music video captures the moment in time when women (mothers) who multi-task and give a lot of themselves to the family, sometimes realize they must store a slice of life for themselves. The "Diva Motherhood" music video unveils the "diva" that lies beneath. They are able to retain their identity by unleashing the qualities that they have within (singers, dancers, athletes, social workers etc) and it really does enable them to do their job as mothers better. Its almost a moving image of stories bound together by a memorable tune. We thought – let’s change what “Diva” stands for. We want to change the conversation to middle-aged and middle-class mothers, who are invisible to the world at large, but are divas, in their own right! The Diva Motherhood Music Video was launched on Mother's Day, 2017. Check out the music video on YouTube!! I led a large team to execute this project and am proud that its shaped up well. My vision was to get all sections of the society involved in this project (professional film community, real mothers who are singers and dancers and people with key strengths that can be fully utilized in an artistic venture like this). We launched a first time ever crowd funding campaign for a music video with a social message, that celebrates the diva image of women as mothers. We pledged 10% donation to a recognized NGO for sex-trafficking and were happy to give back to the society.
