Synopsis: Untread is a 15 min Sci-Fi thriller short film centering on the life of a young man named Haz and the chaos that engulfs him in the year 2050. Haz has horrific dreams and is unable to fathom them. He is swept up in legal issues which have a connection to his nightmares. Dark shadows lurk around him and Haz is only just beginning to take notice. Solving the mystery of his dreams before he is consumed by these shadows is the crux of the film.
Untread unfolds as a game of chess and the dynamic imbalance created by sacrifice and exchange between two masters. There is frustration, confusion, and chaos that engulfs a young man's life. Untread also treads in the territory of a futuristic era, where computer holograms are a reality and designer friends available on call. Sensors are everywhere and privacy is an antiquated concept. Untread is also about asking a very important question, that when snap decisions are made, you live with monsters you created; and how far can you go to retain your sanity. The making of this movie has been absolute joy with an amazingly talented cast and crew. Hopefully we have made a short film that sticks and intrigues people so that they feel entertained, yet we are evaluating a socially conscious message. How deep into man’s soul can technology advance and will we be better for it?
